Devon X challenge for Fragile X Society

George is counting down to the Devon X Challenge which he is embarking on with Chris and Graham on the weekend of 14th and 15th June.  The challenge is to raise money for the Fragile X Society.   Fragile X Syndrome is the most common known inherited cause of learning disabilities yet many people are unaware of it.  It can cause a wide range of difficulties with learning, as well as social, language, attentional, emotional, and behavioural problems.  The Fragile X Society relies heavily on donations so fundraising through events like these is essential.

The challenge will see George and his counterparts attempting to cycle across Devon in a large X, covering more than 300 miles and climbing over 16,000 feet – Devon is very hilly.  There will be no sleep only pit stops for food, water and perhaps the odd call of nature.

They will start from Crediton and travel in the direction of Bideford and back followed by Plymouth and back, covering an X across the Devon countryside.  If you spot them be sure to give them a shout and show your support, you can also donate to the cause here
