It’s a fact that the number of people leaving the capital is at its highest level since 2008 as new data shows some 74,000 households left the city in 2016.
According to a report in Homes and Property magazine, rising house prices and stretched affordability continue to be the big drivers behind many of the exit decisions and on average, those buying outside the capital spent £388,000 on their new home, compared to the average asking price in London of £616,000. Most London leavers stay in the South of England and because of this the pace of house price growth in the South West and South East of England continues to outstrip Greater London.
Due to this demand we are holding a special 2 day London Event on 24th – 25th March 2017. The exhibition will be held in our Mayfair office, Park Lane on Friday 24th, and then our associated Surrey office on Saturday 25th.
If you’d like us to include your property in the event, please get in touch – it’s a seriously good opportunity – previous exhibitions have been extremely successful.
